Nolboo Hangari Galbi

A few weeks back, one of my girlfriends introduced me to a new Korean restaurant.

Nolboo Hangari Galbi

There are two Nolboo outlets in Singapore, one at Orchard Central and one at Takashimaya. We went to the latter outlet and it was relatively empty on a Friday night. It's lucky that this gem is not overcrowded on a week(end, well sorta weekend - it's Friday!) night and we didn't have to queue long to get a seat. The food was good though!

Side dishes

We ordered two dishes to share - the beef bulgogi (above) and the grilled honey pork belly (below). The beef bulgogi was done really well, I like that they added alot of ingredients - such as enoki mushrooms, noodles, beef (of course), onions (green and white) and it was all simmered in a rich sweet broth (that my girlfriend happily slurped up as a soup). The broth tasted really good drizzled over plain white rice.

The honey pork belly on the other hand was only average, perhaps we were just too stuffed and this dish came later (which the staff actually cooked for us and served it to us on the plate) after we had stuffed ourselves with the bulgogi.

Overall, quite good food at a reasonable rate.
